The scrap tire processing industry is growing rapidly as the number of discarded tires increases, landfill capacity diminishes and environmental pressures mount. The development of end-use markets which consume scrap tires, including recycling and tire derived fuel (TDF), are being pursued by industry, the private sector and government. Shred-Tech has responded to this growing demand for new technologies with products designed for the effective reduction and recovery of scrap tires.

Shred-Tech's high torque tire shredders and systems range from 80 to 1,200 HP (60 to 900 kW) and are capable of processing automobile, truck and off-road tires at rates in excess of 20 tons per hour. Shredder systems may be stationary or mobile, electric or hydraulic, off-the-shelf or custom designed.

Systems include infeed/outfeed conveyors and classifiers designed to ensure 2" (50mm) minus absolute sizing. Shred-Tech's STG-400 Granulator is ideally suited for secondary reduction of 50mm tire chips. The STG-400 will process approximately 5 tons per hour of 50mm tire chips to a wire free particle size of approximately 3/4" (19mm).
